Automatic water shutoff the moment a leak is detected.
The Flood Stop Automatic Shutoff Valve is a motorized ball valve that installs on the cold water supply line to your water heater. A floor sensor placed beneath the unit detects any water leak and instantly closes the valve — cutting off water flow before it can cause thousands of dollars in water damage. The system includes an audible alarm, manual override buttons, and a wall-mounted controller.
The Flood Stop Automatic Shutoff Valve installs on the cold water supply line to your water heater. A floor-level sensor placed beneath the unit detects any water on the floor and sends a signal to the motorized ball valve, which immediately closes and cuts off water flow. An audible alarm also sounds to alert you to the leak.
The correct Flood Stop Valve size is determined by your water heater's supply line size. THE Water Heater Company automatically selects the correct size: 3/4" for 30, 40, and 50-gallon water heaters; 1" for 65, 75, and 80-gallon water heaters; and 1-1/4" for 100-gallon water heaters.
Adding a Flood Stop Valve to your water heater installation costs $495 (3/4"), $595 (1"), or $695 (1-1/4") when bundled with a new water heater installation by THE Water Heater Company. Regular standalone prices are $595, $695, and $795 respectively.
